Serving Willowdale · about 6 km from the shop
Willowdale sits six kilometres east of our door — Sheppard Avenue runs from Yonge straight to Keele, and most drivers make the trip in about 10 to 16 minutes without ever touching the 401.
Why Willowdale drivers make the trip
The Yonge corridor between Sheppard and Finch is condo country, and condo country is hard on cars: tight spiral ramps, close-set concrete pillars, and stop-and-go on Yonge itself. The side streets have their own problem — half of them are mid-rebuild, with contractor pickups and dumpster bins narrowing roads laid out for 1950s bungalows. When something gets hit, Ontario law makes the repair shop your choice, not your insurance company’s. The owner writes the estimate himself, runs the claim from our office, and takes your questions personally.

Your insurance company can’t choose your shop — in Ontario that choice is always yours. Here’s how that works.
Most of the Willowdale damage we see was done at under 20 km/h. Yonge between the 401 and Finch moves in surges — a light change at Sheppard, at Empress, at Park Home — and every surge produces the same rear-end tap that cracks a bumper cover and the absorber hiding behind it. Beecroft and Doris, the relief roads that run parallel to Yonge, add four-way stops, school-hour crush around Earl Haig, and residents backing out of driveways between parked cars. None of it is dramatic. All of it is bodywork.
Then there are the garages. Nearly every tower from Sheppard up to Gibson House parks its residents underground, down ramps that turn tighter than the turning circle of a mid-size SUV. Pillar scrapes on rear doors and quarter panels are probably the single most Willowdale repair there is, followed by the corner-of-the-bumper grind on the ramp’s curb. On the bungalow blocks east and west of Yonge, winter adds the windrow problem: plows seal driveways with a ridge of compacted snow, and cars forced to nose out blind onto narrowed streets pick up the kind of corner hits that look minor and rarely are.
Sheppard Avenue makes this easy. From Mel Lastman Square or North York Centre, drive west across the top of the city — no highway, one road — and you are at our door off Keele, just south of Sheppard, in roughly a quarter of an hour. If the car is drivable, most customers bring it in themselves; the 84 Sheppard West bus runs right back along Sheppard to Sheppard-Yonge station, so you are home without waiting on anyone. If a rental is part of your coverage, we time its pickup to your drop-off so the hand-over happens once, not twice.
Send photos before you drive anywhere. Three pictures — the whole corner, the damage up close, one wide shot — get you a written number back fast, and it means the visit is a drop-off rather than a viewing. The shop runs Monday through Saturday, 8 AM to 7 PM, with Sundays by appointment. If the car is not safe to drive — a wheel pushed back, a lamp hanging, anything leaking — leave it where it stopped and call (647) 594-3401; we help arrange the tow, and under Ontario’s towing rules the destination is your call, not the tow operator’s.
Ontario runs vehicle damage through DCPD: when you are not at fault, in whole or in part, your own insurance company pays for the repair, with fault split under the province’s Fault Determination Rules. Tell your insurance company promptly — your policy expects notice within seven days — and report to a Collision Reporting Centre if anyone was hurt or the combined damage looks likely to pass $5,000. From there, the file is ours: we open the claim, deal with the adjuster directly, push for OEM parts where safety is involved, and send supplements when teardown finds damage the first estimate missed.
Willowdale questions
Straight answers before you commit to anything — and a human on the phone when you want one.
Take Sheppard Avenue west, straight across to Keele — about six kilometres, usually 10 to 16 minutes. We are off Keele just south of Sheppard, in North York. The 401 works too, but at that distance the surface route is usually quicker door to door.
Depends on your deductible and the depth of the scrape. Pillar and ramp damage is often close enough to a typical deductible that claiming makes little sense — but not always, because scrapes that reach the metal cost more than they look. Send photos and we will give you the real number so you can decide with both figures in front of you.
No. In Ontario a preferred list is a recommendation, never a requirement — the choice of repair shop belongs to you, and your policy covers the repair here just the same. We work with every insurance company, open the claim ourselves, and meet the adjuster at our shop.

Reviews
The line we hear most: “I couldn’t tell where the damage had been.”
Honestly, I thought my car would never look the same again — but they completely proved me wrong. I couldn’t even tell where the damage had been repaired or repainted. The paint matched perfectly, and the bodywork was flawless.
My car was in an accident and the entire rear was damaged. They replaced the rear bumper and tailgate, and the paint job was perfect — matched flawlessly. The quality of work exceeded my expectations.
