After an accident · one call does it

Auto insurance claim help, all in one place

Anything a motor-vehicle accident throws at you — the repair, the tow, the rental, the adjuster, the injuries, the paperwork — starts with one call. We handle the vehicle and the claim ourselves, and connect you with independent licensed providers for everything we don’t do.

Your vehicle & your claim

The repair and the claim, handled together

We’re a body shop that works with all insurance companies — and in Ontario, you choose your own body shop, no matter what the adjuster suggests. Here’s what we take off your plate after an accident.

Insurance collision repair — at fault or not

Car accident repair through insurance on every make and model. Not-at-fault accident repair runs through DCPD with your own insurance company; at-fault collision repair runs through your collision coverage. Either way, we open the claim with you and manage it start to finish.

Rear-end, hit-and-run & parked-car claims

Rear-end collision repair, sideswipes, hit-and-run vehicle repair, and parked-car accident claims — including the reporting steps a hit-and-run needs before the claim can move. Someone hit your parked car and left? Photograph it and call us first.

Insurance-covered dent & scratch repair

Dents, creases, and deep scratches are claim damage when they came from an accident, a hit-and-run, or vandalism. We document the panels, put a written number on the repair, and tell you honestly whether a claim makes sense against your deductible.

Collision paint & refinishing

Refinishing is part of the approved insurance repair — colour matched by computer to your factory code, sprayed in a downdraft booth, and blended into the surrounding panels so nobody can point to where the damage was. Lifetime warranty, in writing.

Bumper, fender, frame & structural repair

Insurance bumper and fender repair with OEM parts preferred and sensors function-checked — and frame and structural collision repair that is laser-measured to factory specification, documented before and after, so your insurance company and your family can both trust the car.

Hail, vandalism & theft-recovery claims

Hail and storm damage insurance claims, vandalism damage insurance claims, and theft-recovery vehicle repair all fall under comprehensive coverage — no fault assigned. We deal with the catastrophe teams and document recovered vehicles bumper to bumper.

Estimates, supplements & the adjuster

A free insurance repair estimate before any claim is opened, then supplement and adjuster assistance once it is: we meet the adjuster at our shop, photograph hidden damage at teardown, and file supplements directly so approved covered damage stays covered.

Towing, storage, rental & write-offs

Towing and storage after an accident, a rental vehicle while we work when your coverage provides one, and total-loss or write-off assistance if the numbers go that way — honest documentation, a fair valuation file, and plain answers about what happens next.

Injured in the accident?

Accident-injury rehabilitation, through the right people

Ontario auto insurance includes medical and rehabilitation benefits — and, for serious injuries, attendant-care benefits — that may pay for treatment after a motor-vehicle accident, whether or not you were at fault. The treatment itself belongs with clinicians, so we keep our role simple: when you tell us you were hurt, we help connect you with independent, licensed providers who treat accident injuries and know the accident-benefits paperwork.

Collision Auto Center is an auto body repair facility, not a healthcare provider. For injury treatment we can help connect you with independent, licensed providers — we do not provide medical treatment ourselves.

  • Car accident physiotherapy
  • Whiplash treatment after a car accident
  • Chiropractic treatment after an accident
  • Massage therapy after a car accident
  • Occupational therapy after an accident
  • Psychological treatment after a car accident
  • Concussion rehabilitation after an accident

Beyond the repair

Other benefits worth asking about

An Ontario auto policy can include more help than most people ever claim. Some of these benefits apply broadly; others only if they were purchased as optional coverage or in the most serious cases — your insurance company, broker, or an independent licensed professional can confirm what your policy includes. We’ll point you in the right direction.

  • Income replacement benefits If your injuries keep you from working while you recover.
  • Non-earner benefits If you weren’t employed and the accident keeps you from your normal life.
  • Caregiver benefits If you can no longer care for someone who depends on you.
  • Housekeeping & home maintenance Help with the household work you can’t do while you heal.
  • Dependant-care benefits Care for your children or dependants during your recovery.
  • Lost educational expenses Tuition and course costs lost because of the accident.
  • Damaged personal belongings Glasses, clothing, car seats — items damaged in the collision.
  • Death & funeral benefits Support for families after a fatal accident.

The one promise we never make is that insurance will pay. Coverage depends on eligibility, your policy, treatment or repair approval, deductibles, and the insurance company’s decision. What we promise instead: honest advice, documented damage, and a file your insurance company can decide on quickly.

Claim questions

After-an-accident questions, answered

The questions we hear in the first phone call after a collision — answered plainly.

I just had an accident — what do I do first?

Get everyone safe and out of traffic, exchange licence, plate, and insurance details, and photograph both vehicles and the scene. If anyone is injured or the combined damage looks like more than $5,000, report the collision to police or a Collision Reporting Centre. Then call us at (647) 594-3401 — we take it from there: the tow, the claim, the repair.

Do I need a claim number before I contact you?

No. Bring a claim number if you have one, or just your policy details — we sit with you and open the claim together, then deal with the adjuster and the approvals from there. Starting with us first often makes the claim cleaner, because the damage is documented properly before anyone argues about it.

Can my insurance company make me use their preferred shop?

No. In Ontario you choose your own body shop — an insurance company can recommend a preferred shop but cannot require one, and we work with all insurance companies operating in Ontario. Tell the adjuster your vehicle is going to Collision Auto Center and we handle the rest.

Is physiotherapy covered by auto insurance after an accident?

Ontario auto policies include medical and rehabilitation benefits that may pay for physiotherapy and other treatment when you’re injured in a motor-vehicle accident, whether or not you were at fault. We don’t provide treatment ourselves — we help connect you with independent, licensed providers who know the accident-benefits paperwork. Coverage depends on eligibility, your policy, treatment approval, deductibles, and the insurance company’s decision.

What if my car is a write-off?

If the repair cost approaches the vehicle’s actual cash value, your insurance company may declare it a total loss. We document the damage honestly, explain the numbers, and help you understand the settlement and what happens to the vehicle — so a write-off decision is made on complete information, not a rushed phone call.

Will insurance definitely pay for my repair or treatment?

No shop can promise that, and we won’t. Coverage depends on eligibility, your policy, treatment or repair approval, deductibles, and the insurance company’s decision. What we do promise is a properly documented file — photos, measurements, and written estimates — so your insurance company decides with everything in front of them.

Photo estimates cover what the camera can see — hidden damage is documented and cleared with you (and your insurance) first. Your info goes to our estimator, never sold or shared.
