The plan gave Don Mills quiet crescents; the city around it supplied everything else. Commuters feed the DVP at Lawrence and Wynford every morning, and those ramp queues generate the neighbourhood’s most common repair — the low-speed rear-end that folds a bumper cover and crushes the absorber nobody can see. The 401 collectors at Leslie add the harder merges, and the south end of Don Mills Road, reshaped by years of Crosstown construction around the Science Centre corridor, still moves like a road drivers have not fully relearned.

Parking does the quieter damage. The Donway’s rows outside the Shops at Don Mills are busy seven days a week, Fairview Mall’s garage turns tighter than most SUVs would like, and the condo buildings that have grown up along Don Mills Road send us the classic underground-ramp scrapes. Winter adds its own list: plow windrows sealing driveways on the crescents, salt fog off Don Mills Road dulling front ends, and freeze–thaw potholes opening up along Lawrence and York Mills from February into April.

Two easy routes to Keele & Sheppard

From Leslie and Lawrence or anywhere near the Shops, the 401 is the straightforward run: north on Leslie, west past the 404 junction, off at Keele, and we are just south of Sheppard — about a quarter of an hour when the highway behaves. If you would rather stay off the 401, York Mills Road becomes Wilson Avenue west of Yonge and carries you almost to our block. From the north end near Fairview Mall, simplest of all: Sheppard Avenue runs straight west to Keele, one road, no ramps.

Most Don Mills customers never make a special trip just to be looked at. Text photos of the damage to (647) 594-3401 and a written number comes back fast, so your first visit is the drop-off itself. We are open Monday through Saturday, 8 AM to 7 PM, with Sundays by appointment. If the car is not safe to drive — after a Parkway hit, say — leave it where it is and call; we help arrange the tow, and under Ontario’s towing rules the truck goes where you direct it, not where the operator prefers.

One person runs your file, start to finish

Ontario handles vehicle damage through DCPD: when you are not at fault, in whole or in part, your own insurance company pays for the repair, with the split set by the province’s Fault Determination Rules. Notify your insurance company promptly — the policy expects notice within seven days — and go through a Collision Reporting Centre if anyone was hurt or the combined damage looks likely to top $5,000. From there we take the file: claim opened, adjuster dealt with directly, supplements sent when teardown shows more than the first photos did.

The owner is the person on the other end of all of it — the estimate, the parts decisions, the phone call when you want a status. He will push your insurance company for OEM parts where safety is involved, arrange the rental through your coverage so it is waiting when you drop off, and put the lifetime paint-and-refinish warranty in writing with your invoice.
