New-Milton driveways are hail’s favourite target
Summer storm cells cross Halton from the west, pile against the escarpment, and occasionally drop hail on their way over — and when one tracks across Milton, the town’s own design does the rest. The subdivisions built over the last twenty years are almost treeless; the saplings on a Coates or Willmott street will shade a car eventually, but not this decade.
