What Maple actually does to cars
Maple’s damage has a calendar. From May to Labour Day, Canada’s Wonderland pulls tens of thousands of visitors through the Major Mackenzie and Rutherford interchanges, and the queues that form on those ramps produce a steady run of rear-end taps — low speed, high nuisance, and almost always more expensive than the scuff suggests once the bumper cover comes off. Add the left-turn pressure at Major Mackenzie and Keele, and a lot of what we repair from Maple happened within two kilometres of the old village core.
Winter swaps the pattern. York Region’s plows leave windrows across the double driveways that fill Maple’s 1990s and 2000s subdivisions, and drivers punch through them at an angle — creased rockers, scraped lower doors, bumpers pulled loose on frozen snow. The commuter lot at Maple GO contributes its own category all year: door edges and shopping-cart-height creases on cars that sit unattended from the 7 AM train to the 6 PM one. The drive is the simple part. Keele Street leaves Maple at Major Mackenzie, runs south past the CN MacMillan Yard and Concord, crosses Steeles, passes York University, and reaches us just south of Sheppard — about 14 to 20 minutes in ordinary traffic, with Highway 400 to the 401 as the fallback when Keele is torn up. No downtown, no DVP, no reason to burn a morning on the trip.
Maple has one drop-off advantage almost no other city we serve can match: the Barrie GO line. Downsview Park station is a short hop from our shop, and Maple GO is two stops up the same line. Plenty of customers drop the car with us in the morning, walk to the train, and are back at Maple GO before the coffee goes cold — no second driver, no waiting on a rental that has not arrived yet. When a rental is part of the claim, we time it to your drop-off instead. We are open Monday through Saturday, 8 AM to 7 PM, with Sundays by appointment.

Ontario law puts the choice of repair shop with you, not with your insurance company — a preferred shop can be recommended, never required. If the other driver was at fault, DCPD means your own insurance company pays for the vehicle damage, and we open that file, meet the adjuster, and submit the supplement ourselves when teardown finds what the photos missed. The owner handles every Maple file personally, and the paint and refinish work underneath it all carries a lifetime warranty.
