Galt, Preston, Hespeler: one city, three sets of streets
Cambridge never fully melted into one town, and its damage still sorts by the old borders. Every weekday morning the 401 east fills with drivers bound for Milton, Mississauga, and Toronto, and the park-and-ride lots near the Hespeler Road interchange empty early. The Toyota plant on Fountain Street and the warehouses off Franklin keep hours a nine-to-five counter cannot serve, and a shop open until 7 PM six days a week, with Sundays by appointment, fits around them.
