How a Bowmanville car ends up in a North York shop

The most common route is the least voluntary one. Add the seasonal traffic — race weekends at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park pulling thousands of cars up Bowmanville Avenue and Liberty Street, fall orchard crowds on the side roads — and the rest of the list writes itself. Salt off the 401 finishes the job, blooming rust in every stone chip that goes untreated past February.

One trip west, and the rest happens by phone
